Installation Instructions

Step #1 Insert the QuickMeasure installation CD, then choose to browse the CD to see the files that are on the CD.

Next look for the file on the CD titled "Sentinal Protection Installer", and double click to run it. (be sure that your USB security key is NOT insterted into the PC yet….

After the security protection installer is complete, then reboot if required and insert the sentinal key into your USB drive.

Step #2 If you are working on a PC with either Windows Vista or Windows 7 as your operating system:

On a Windows Vista or Windows 7 machine you need to turn off the User Account Control (UAC) before you install QuickMeasure OnScreen.   The UAC is like a network administrator that is built into the operating system and typically blocks some of the components we use in QMOS from installing.

Click the Windows Start button, then type into the search box "user account control" and you will see a link to click which will let you turn User Account Control down to the lowest setting.

Step #3 Remove then reload the QuickMeasure installation CD and now choose to install Quick Measure.
